It’s Been the Worst Day Since Yesterday

Bad news comes in three, or so we’ve been told.  Don’t count on that — sometimes, it comes in four and five.  But today, it’s three.

The Second Life Mentors are no more – they will officially cease to exist in early December.  In essence, LL said ‘you’re a great group of people, thanks for doing a good job, good-by.’  The SL Mentors are meeting and working on ways to continue their volunteer efforts in SL.  Their belief that the personal one-on-one touch is needed in SL has not changed. 

XStreet is undergoing some major changes in listing fees.  The blogs and chat rooms have been full for days of pros and cons.   Time will tell how these changes will affect the average merchant listing on XStreet.

And today, my business photographer/friend announced he is leaving SL.  Now, we aren’t close friends, we don’t travel in the same social circles in here, but I value his intelligence and his talent.  I support his right to leave – we all have that right – but his leaving saddens me, and his absence will leave a hole in my Second Life.

Yes, it’s been the worst day since yesterday.
